Senior Storeman Role - Permanent Position

Our client is looking to employ a permanent Senior Storeman for their warehouse in Takanini.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the key areas of accountability are:

• Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval of all goods in the warehouse

• Ensure warehouse(s) reach maximum efficiencies and potential and stock control systems are up to date

• Ensure the security level of the warehouse is at the maximum

• Process orders within determined timeframes with no picking/packing errors

• Highlight issues immediately to Team Leader to ensure ongoing efficiencies are sort and obtained

• Be innovative in ensuring best practice warehousing and provide support on projects relating to the Warehouse

• Liaise with customer services regarding any issues

• Actively be involved in warehouse projects for future growth

Inwards Goods

• Receipting of all warehouse goods / high light any issues of incorrect receipt.

• Monitor stock levels for re-order purposes

• Ensure all put away is done in timely manner

• Data entry

Stocktakes

• Stock levels are consistent, and monthly cycle counts are undertaken to ensure accurate records

• Full stock take is undertaken at year end

• Variances reported, investigated and understood and kept to a minimum

Health + Safety

• Ensure Warehouse staff work in a safe environment by supporting the Health and Safety policy

• Help identify all hazards associated with the Warehouse department

• All staff, suppliers and visitors to despatch/warehouse understand and comply with its Health and Safety policies and procedures

And any other duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Competencies, Skills and Experience required for the job:

• Experience – 3 to 5 years plus Warehousing experience

• Good knowledge of ERP systems

• Minimum of 3 yrs in supervisory assistant roles

• Forkhoist licence - Reach truck licence

• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written

• Strong planning, organising and people management skills

• Excellent customer relations skills

• Computer skills – minimum intermediate excel skills

Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5pm

Paying: $45,000 - $50,000
